Stopping Now

Not stopping blogging—I’ve stopped working on Who Moved Sawtooth/Iron Falls/Autumn in Mineral King/Sawtooth #70/Gold Rush, the 24×30″ painting.

I added more detail, painted the edges, signed it, and let it dry. Then it rained! When there was a break and the sun came out, I carried it outside to photograph, since it is clearly too large for my scanner.

Gold Rush, 24×30″, $2100

During the rain and accompanying low light, I set up a lamp and detailed a few paintings.

The color is a little wrong here because it was dark out and I used the phone, not the camera.

The color in the rose pictures differs because (1)the light kept changing; (2)some were photographed with the phone and some with the camera; (3)it’s very wet in the last photo which makes it shiny.

Same excuses about the pumpkin photos.

The rain turned the moss on our rocks green, almost instantly. Green is a thrilling thing in Three Rivers, particularly in October.

I’m stopping now. For today.
