November

Only one more of these calendar pencil drawings is left to show you this year.

I didn’t make a calendar for 2027. There are many freebies available, and lots of people prefer using a digital version. There is more to being an artist than just drawing and painting: business must be attended to. Although I had an idea and began drawing toward that end, it seemed prudent to not proceed with printing.

This is the November drawing in my 2026 calendar. It is at Mooney Grove, a county park in Visalia, the seat of Tulare County. I’ve painted several murals there and loved walking around the place each day when I finished.

A heartfelt thank you (THANK YOU!) to all who have bought calendars from me in the past.

  1. I love the November drawing! I have enjoyed this calendar so much!

    • Thank you, Michelle! It makes my heart happy when I hear that people love pencil, especially when they (like yourself) are unfamiliar with the subjects.

  2. Your special art with a calendar attached has been such a prominent feature in my office for so many years. How sad that we are constantly encouraged to stare only at digital renditions of life. Reality does not lie on a mechanical screen! Sigh.

    • Louise, I hear you loudly and clearly. Let’s do a big sign in unison. . . S I G H !!

  3. I have loved your ’26 calendar every day but I understand not publishing another. My husband stopped making one with his photos for our extensive family because the cost became prohibitive. I’m happy to content myself with your blog in my email each weekday.
    Happy Autumn!

    • Thank you, Sara, for your understanding and your longevity. Wow, a calendar of Gary’s photos would be a treasure.

  4. I, for one, am sad that you aren’t making a calendar this year. I completely understand and wondered if 2026 would be your last year. I will have to find other Christmas gifts for my crazy family!!

    • Dan, you are one of the reasons that I almost made a calendar again. Alas, there aren’t enough folks like you to make it worth doing.

  5. No 2027 calendar?? What shall I do with this blank spot on my wall??

Actually, I understand the hassle of publishing, so I don’t blame you. Keep calm and carry on!

    • Sharon, I am sorry to disappoint you and appreciate your understanding and encouragement.
