All our daffodils bloomed a month ago except for 2 of these spectacular beauties.Our yard is patriotic, and those are California poppies on the hills in the distance.I have many many unframed pencil drawing and don’t know what to do with them.This is a tiny preview. Any ideas?The tag for these flowers is missing so I can’t tell you the name of this exotically colored daisy. One afternoon this week, a neighbor stopped by for some oranges, and she was wearing these exact colors!In my mailbox one day this week.Started a new oil painting of my favorite subject to paint. If this small one looks good, I’ll paint it large. Or maybe I’ll return to the location and take photos in different light.Oh-oh.Oh no! Not the Botmobile.Calm down. It is spring, beautiful, and we have a GREAT mechanic (Foreign Auto in Visalia only works on Honda, Toyota, Acura and Lexus. 559-734-8285. Wouldn’t dream of driving anything Mark doesn’t work on. He calls me his oldest customer, but my Mom is older. To this, he replies, “You know what I mean!”
I have construction going on at my house, a 1921 Craftsman. Originally 1,064 square feet, I am adding another 146 square feet. They are extending the bedroom and closet and have installed pocket doors in the closet. Then French doors will open into a screened-in porch that I and my soon-to-be adopted cats can enjoy. I plan to adopt two older cats that are already pals when construction is finished and the shelters reopen. I bought four lovely stained glass panels at an auction at the local art museum last year, and those will go into the French doors. I love the Craftsman style, and have tried to stay true to that style in the renovations that have been done. This is my dream home and my forever home, and so “sheltering at home” has not been a problem for me!
Marjie, your house sounds fabulous! Craftsman style homes from that era are my favorite architectural style of all time. I am in awe and understand fully about “sheltering at home” not being a problem. Thank you for sharing.
Maybe contact the cabin families of the cabin drawings you have to see if they would be interested? I don’t suppose you have any of the Dixon cabin, by chance?
How’s the patient? Isn’t a blessing to have a mechanic you like and, more importantly, you trust?!
My world these days consists of 1150 square feet of cats, TV, books, and crochet. Not necessarily in that order. It’s all good. It’s all temporary. It’s all for our safety!
There are no more cabin drawings of MK cabins unless they are buried so deeply under the layers that I have forgotten them.
The Botmobile is back in its garage, running fine again. Thank you for your concern!
Remember you also have your neighborhood to take walks in too.
As long as you maintain the 6-feet-between rule, there are no restrictions, no masks needed. So if I see someone approaching me on the sidewalk, one of us crosses to the other side of the street. It’s only as complicated as you make it!
