And a Final Bit About Chicago

The Captain and I spent about one hour in the Art Institute of Chicago. ONE HOUR. ONE HOUR.

Better than not at all. We are outdoor kind of chicks, and decided a walk along the shore of Lake Michigan would be a good thing to do before sitting hours upon hours in airplanes.

It was a beautiful sunny day, only as cold as an extra cold day in Three Rivers.

Then I came home. I love Three Rivers, Tulare County, and California. Look! Are those mountains in the distance??

  1. Love your second and third photos in this post. Gorgeous!

    • Thank you, Cheryl! I was rather pleased with these too. The tenacity of runners who live in that climate and stay fit just astonishes and amazes me. Plus, the lake, the sun, the city skyline. . . sometimes photos just work out. Nothing like having a digital camera to take zillions of photos in hopes of one good one!

  2. … i don’t know just why … i love the photo of the dock (it looks like a dock…) … lots of vertical lines contrasts to one long horizontal … deep sigh …

  3. That is the view I miss the most!! The snow covered peaks, soooooooooooo majestic! :(( However, I did spend 4 hours on the beach on Sunday, gorgeous here too and perfect temp. Great pic!

    Cheers,
    Melissa

    • Melissa, a great view like that deserves more than a drive-by shooting with a guard rail, but I was soooo happy to be home that I didn’t care! I’m so glad you have beach time – that is a wonderful gift.
