Homer Barn, pencil drawing, unframed, 11×14″, $400

This is the Homer Barn on Dry Creek Road. I took some liberties with the fence on the right. If this looks familiar, perhaps you are remembering a painting of the barn from a year or two ago.

Homer Barn, oil painting, sold

I took liberties with the road, turning it into dirt, and then erased the fence so the cows can freely wander across the road. If there is no fence to make greener grass on the other side, is the grass greener on the other side of the road?

If you are new to the blog, this is a monthly post to show the page in the 2026 calendar. If you aren’t new to the blog, that is still true.

In case you are wondering about a 2027 calendar, there won’t be one coming. Lots of reasons.

I remain your Central California Artist, despite little adjustments along the way.

  1. I enjoyed knowing the story behind this drawing. It’s such a lovely calendar; I enjoy looking at it every day, and I’m sad to know that there won’t be one in 2027. I understand, though. It’s a huge amount of work to make calendars.
