February in Three Rivers is the beginning of springtime. Look at all the daffodils (and narcissus? Or are they all narcissus?) in my yard in these photos taken on February 14.
A beautiful greeting for St. Valentine’s Day! I wish I could grow narcissuses (plural of narcissus?) in a front porch pot, but I think there’s too much shade for them to be happy. For now, I have my one pot of iris (which have yet to awaken from their winter hibernation).
Fortunately, we have some wonderful green-thumb residents in our community, and I enjoy walking around and admiring others’ talented gardening skills.
Sharon, the plural might be narcissi, although I won’t swear to it. If I were you, I’d plant some in a pot just to see if they would bloom. It’s like little spots of sunshine all over my yard!
