The Situation

My blogging friend Elisabeth recommended a terrific helper for my blog troubles, mainly the subscription failure situation. Here is what she discovered (and repaired):

The dealio that sends the email notifications kept getting turned off; she removed a “malicious plugin” and two fake administrators, changed the passwords, and turned on a two-factor log-in. After all that gobbledygook, she detected multiple failed log-in attempts by Bad People. She will keep watch, and I will send her a huge check.

Moola

Keeping a working website with shopping capabilities and a blog is expensive. I don’t have enough readers and subscribers for anyone to want to advertise on my blog. Besides, who wants to see that mess when you are just trying to enjoy a little light reading? We are all bombarded by people trying to sell us stuff (and then begging for ratings and surveys afterward—BUG OFF, YOU HAVE MY MONEY ALREADY!) I have unsubscribed from many blogs because of added advertisements, and have no plans to put advertisements on my blog. I cannot do that to you, my cherished readers.

Maybe I’ll have to start doing boutiques again. Or figure out a way to sell more art (as if I haven’t puzzled over this for decades already). Or paint a bunch of free murals to garner more attention. Or donate stuff to people’s fundraisers.

Nah. None of that works.

The Plan

I’ll just keep writing here (because I never seem to run out of things to show and tell you), painting (mostly subjects that I know will sell, but occasionally something just because I want to), drawing because I love to, accepting commissions (oil paint or pencil), teaching people how to draw, and as always, trusting God to meet my needs.

Amen.
