Love to Draw!

All summer I have been in conversation and planning for a drawing of a cabin. It has grown from a simple drawing to a collage, and the very trusting and polite customers have given me freedom to do it anyway I want. Often, the customers like to participate in the planning and be given a few choices and have a little input. These folks have taken a different approach, and it is a tad bit nervous-making, and quite a bit of fun! Here is what is completed as of today:

It just takes me back to my roots of pencil, commissioned work, and, well, cabinart!

  1. Doesn’t the Park understand that trees fall? It’s a given. Perhaps the wrong shade of green? Don’t get me started. 😀

  2. Diane, you are exactly right! and I agree with you Sharon about those 2 trees. The Park was probably worried about liability -seems to be the basis for most decisions these days.

  3. Those trees came down? When? It’s been a while, but the cabin reminds of formerly Roger’s Roost …

  4. Cabin Cove, right? I remember the sign that used to hang between the two trees . . . and the scrape marks on the trees from trucks that couldn’t quite make it through the narrow passageway. I was sorry to see those trees come down.
