If you read my posts last week, you saw the variety of fall color in Mineral King from year to year. This week I will show you all 2025, mid-October. Not much chit-chat, just some photos. Today is a walk up the Nature Trail, which originates at the upper end of Cold Springs campground.
The trees weren’t all brilliant yellow, but it was a brilliant clear sunny afternoon.

Oh my goodness, how beautiful! What gorgeous fall colors.
Michelle, it is a flash in the pan, disappearing with a single storm. We were there in exactly the right set of days because a storm came the day we left and knocked it all to the ground.
One of my favorite trails. A few reds in there!! love this !
Sally, those reds are eye-candy for sure!
What an incredible blessing not to have to worry about wildfires this fall, and how close they are to our community!
Until 2020, we never thought about wildfires. Now it is a tremendous relief when we have a year without one.
Wow, some wonderful fall colors in your collection! And do you know what else I noticed (besides my love, Iron Falls)? The beautiful blue sky!
Sharon, the sky was incredibly blue! Stunningly blue!
