A Field Trip to Sequoia

Today I begin refreshing the largest Mineral King mural in Exeter (North of Pine, West side of E Street, South side of Capella Coffee)

Tomorrow I’ll show you today’s work on the mural.

Meanwhile, you can enjoy some photos of a recent half-day field trip. Trail Guy and I went to Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park for a little cross-country skiing. It was the day after a cold storm, and it was clear, cold, and beautiful.

  1. So cool, Jana, that you live close enough to be able to do this. Looks amazing!

    • Cheryl, it is so easy to forget that all this beauty is accessible. It is truly a privilege to live near Sequoia!

  2. Lovely.

    • Thank you, Sally, it truly was lovely (except for that one fall skiing that took about 5 minutes to haul myself back into a vertical position in the soft snow!)

  3. Nice photos! I especially liked the one with the giant icicles at Wuksachi Lodge. I stayed there for the first time when I attended the SEKI anniversary reunion, and found it very nice. I bet it’s beautiful in the snow!

    • Thank you, Sharon, it was truly beautiful in the snow, and it only took an hour to be home in the green.
